Friday – Charity Flag Football Game

Your UH Ignut Eta Mu Alphas will face off against TSU Deadly Delta Theta Alphas in a game of flag football and it’s all for charity. Please come out and support. The game starts at 5PM on the Intramural Fields off of Elgin and Cullen. Bring a canned good or donate clothing. The canned good will go to the Houston Food Bank. If you have old clothes, we are preparing to send a package of donated clothes to Ghana.

All donations are welcome, see you at the game!

Today’s program will focus on relationships in the black community. We will discuss various situations that can affect dating and friendships. This is guaranteed to be a very good event, we have received numerous suggestions on what the topics will be. We will try to cover all bases and ensure a quality program. A program that everyone can benefit.

Wednesday - Black Dollar

The Man & Wife turnout was amazing. There was a lot of REAL TALK about sex, safe sex, and relationships. If you came out, you were a witness to the BEST program at the University of Houston. A two-time Educational Program of the Year Award Winner. This year's surpassed the previous two as we had a MAN & WIFE come out to speak about their experiences.

Wednesday brings us to the "Black Dollar". We will have entrepreneurs on hand to give their life experiences of starting a business, running a business, and ending a business. Each attendee will be charged with the task of starting their own business and present their business model to the rest of the group.

The Black Dollar will be in the Kiva Room in Farish Hall. Begins at 7:06PM. Bring your energy and your ideas.

Eta Mu: Make A Wish

For this semester's upcoming ALPHA WEEK the Eta Mu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha will perform 3 wishes for three students of the University of Houston. Recipients will be chosen by completing an application and submitting a brief description of the wish they would like performed and why they should be granted the wish. Each wish must be reasonable in nature. (Meaning: Cannot exceed a retail value of over $100 and other variable determined on a case by case basis. Money also may not be wish.) The Winners will be announced on October 17, 2009

Whew! It was a close one out there today. The Eta Mu Bruhs pulled it out though. Down 8-7 with a mere 50 seconds to go and two time outs. The bruhs drove the length of the field and scored the go-ahead TD on a last second catch by Bro. Osaze Ohonba.


Final score: 13-8 Eta Mu!!!
